StoryFutures was led by Royal Holloway, University of London and was part of the Arts and Humanities Research Council’s unprecedented Creative Industries Clusters Programme. StoryFutures Academy was the UK’s National Centre for Immersive Storytelling led by the National Film and Television School and Royal Holloway.

StoryFutures has supported and funded a diverse range of immersive projects. From prototypes to audience-facing VR/AR/XR/VP films, we have enabled untold stories to be brought to life.

At StoryFutures, we believe in inclusive global collaboration and industry upskilling. Our accelerators provide toolkits for SMEs and individuals to participate in the growing immersive industry.

Aimed at industry professionals of all levels, our training programmes offer a vast range of training in immersive technology, games engine software and production.

Co-productions represent a vital intervention in supporting innovation, promoting R&D collaboration and de-risking investment in training to enable companies to exploit new markets made possible through immersive technologies. These projects provide a mixture of lab-based and hands-on learning for new and intermediate individuals and companies to the immersive landscape, launching careers, business plans and new products into the immersive landscape.
