Fireworks

Fireworks originated from a VR prototype that received StoryFutures Kickstart Funding, designed to support early-stage project research and development and the creation of immersive proof of concepts (up to £10,000 per project). _Fireworks,_ a drama by Oscar-winning VFX specialist Paul Franklin and producer Annalise Davies then went on to become a short film featuring virtual production, receiving further funding and support from StoryFutures Academy.

Fireworks is a tense, heart-stopping political thriller set simultaneously in an MI6 ops room and a Tripoli marketplace – it was one of the very first films in the UK to be made using real-time Virtual Production technology within an LED volume. Fireworks stars Charlotte Riley, Denise Gough, Ivanno Jeremiah, Sophie Wu, Hammed Animashaun, Raghad Chaar, Elysse Adil. Told in real time in the moments before a potential strike on a Tripoli target, the film uses ground-breaking Virtual Production techniques to tell its story. Directed by double Academy Award winner Paul Franklin, produced by BAFTA winner Annalise Davis, written by acclaimed screenwriter Steven Lally. A Wilder Films production, in collaboration with Dimension, DNEG, Epic Mega Grants, Lipsync and StoryFutures Academy.
